How does the team balancing algorithm work?
JogaMix groups players by position (Defender, Midfielder, Striker) and skill level, then uses AI-assisted balancing to distribute them across teams. The system runs multiple optimization passes — analyzing skill gaps, positional coverage, and overall team strength — and returns the fairest configuration. The result is teams that are competitive and well-rounded, not just equal in total skill.
Is JogaMix free to use?
Yes. JogaMix is completely free — no trial period, no credit card, no feature limits. Create as many games and players as you need.
What sports does JogaMix support?
Any team sport where you need balanced sides. It is most commonly used for pickup soccer and futsal, but works equally well for basketball, volleyball, flag football, hockey, and any other sport where teams are picked before playing. The position system (Defender, Midfielder, Striker) maps directly to football, and for other sports you can use it to represent any three roles.
How is the fairness score calculated?
The fairness score measures how close the generated teams are in total skill. It takes the difference between the strongest and weakest team's skill totals, divides it by the average team skill, and converts that to a 0–100 scale. A score of 100 means every team has exactly the same total skill. In practice, most generations score above 90.
Do my players need to create accounts?
No. Only the organizer needs an account. Players receive individual RSVP links and can confirm attendance without signing up or downloading anything.
What data does JogaMix collect?
JogaMix stores the player names, skill ratings, and game details you enter. Authentication is handled through Google OAuth or email magic links. All data is stored on Supabase (AWS infrastructure) with row-level security. No tracking cookies are used. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
